Net Zero Ambition
Albius is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions as soon as practicably possible. To reach this goal, we measure and monitor our carbon footprint, reduce emissions through efficiency, renewable energy, and low-impact materials, and offset unavoidable emissions through verified carbon removal and rewilding initiatives.
Our investment in solar generation and battery storage means that 100% of the electricity our business uses is renewable. We generate more power than we consume – producing a surplus of clean energy that is sent back to the national grid. This surplus helps offset the electricity used by our employees working from home, ensuring that our wider team’s energy use remains part of our renewable energy commitment.

Planting 800 trees in Cumbria to support carbon capture, soil health, and natural regeneration.
Transforming 3 acres of non-productive agricultural land into a rewilded habitat to increase biodiversity and pollinator activity.
Installing bat boxes to provide safe roosting habitats and support local species conservation.
Planting native hedgerows to connect fragmented habitats, create wildlife corridors, improve soil stability, and enhance local biodiversity.
Creating a small wildlife pond to support amphibians, aquatic insects, birds, and pollinators, while improving water retention and natural ecosystem balance.
Sustainable Travel
We recognise that business travel contributes to our environmental footprint, and we actively work to reduce it. We prioritise virtual collaboration, choose low-emission or shared transport where possible, and offset all unavoidable travel emissions through nature-based initiatives.
Technology and Circular Design
At Albius, we adopt a circular approach to technology, ensuring that the tools and materials we use are designed with sustainability and longevity in mind. We use recyclable technology, extend the life of devices through repair and reuse, and partner with suppliers who demonstrate strong environmental stewardship.
