Integrated Service Models

The current UK facilities management (FM) market is one of the most challenging for outsourced service providers, leading to unseen levels of risk. However, the benefits of a less transactional and more strategic relationship present opportunities to innovate and drive change. Facilities management has grown from a “people” focused business to a “people and data” driven business.  There are substantial and varied opportunities, including contracts with longevity, greater security of term, and delivery of new service lines.  Opportunities to embed within client organisations and provide data and information-led services are central to growth.

Despite some concerns about the continued viability of large TFM solutions, the requirement for an organisation to be able to deliver  Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and solutions is always going to exist, with longer-term contracts to drive better quality and gain greater financial value.  Financial constraints continue to driving clients towards outsourcing with a widening of the type of services being outsourced.  Price will always remain a top priority, however many clients continue to move towards overall value rather than purely price.

How we help.

We provide support and guidance on identifying the most suitable service model, the options to consider, and the benefits and risks.  With the experience in designing, creating, implementing, and managing complex service models across all services lines from security to engineering services, our experience from managing large outsourced models helps guide you in the mitigation and management of commercial, operational, and delivery risk as part of your model and strategy.  The complexity, risk, size, and scope of typical IFM, TFM contracts, and models requires significant experience and a real-world understanding of the realities and required approach.

Unlike other consultancies, our experience is gained from designing and leading large, highly complex, national multi-site FM models. Due to the breadth of knowledge and understanding of the detail required across all services and requirements, all consultancy work in this area is undertaken by our Principal Consultant Tony Park MBE, a recognised and highly experienced leader in this area.
